United Kingdom Prime Minister David Cameron caught criticism for being sexist after telling female Member of Parliament Angela Eagle to "calm down, dear" during a heated exchange in April about the country's health care system. Five months later, Cameron told another female MP, Nadine Dorries, that she seemed "extremely frustrated" as she was trying to defend an abortion amendment, drawing laughter from the Commons chamber and cries of chauvinism from critics. Cameron ultimately apologized for the "terrible" word choice in an October interview, acknowledging that his language could have been offensive to women. As for Eagle, the poor "dear" is still waiting for an apology.
